An insight into the cultural references of Palace Skateboards
The ICA is currently home to a Palace Skateboards exhibitions titled ‘The Palace’. Shot by Alasdair Photographer, The Palace is a collection of photographs showcasing the beginnings, influencers and scenes in and around Palace Skateboards we all know today.
The exhibition prominently features the likes of Blondey and Lucien Clarke. The two individuals have a massive influence in the cultur,e and are no strangers when it comes to modelling, often featuring in their look books.
The exhibition allows us to visually see the rise of Palace to what it has become, and lets us put the images together with the many written pieces and stories told overtime. Whether you’re a fan of Palace and its clothing, a budding photographer or just want something to do in London, ‘The Palace’ is an exhibition that caters for everyone.
Catch it before it finished on the 24th of July.
Enjoy it, embrace it and let it inspire you, because it certainly did for me.
