Supreme x Clarks Originals – Launch

Who knew your dad rocked 90’s heat?

As always, Supreme has collaborated with a brand some people love and others love to hate; Clarks.

There has always been a soft spot in my heart for Clarks. The Wallabee has been at the forefront of footwear attire for decades, sported by East Coat rap group Wu Tang Clan, MF DOOM, and Walter White, and although originating from the 60s, it still manages to be very relevant in today’s fashion, worn by ‘fashion icon’ Kanye West, amongst others.

To be quite frank, I didn’t particularly fancy Supreme’s last collaboration with the colour-blocked Wallabee, but this is so much better – especially the ashy pink colourway. I only wish they had made it a low version, instead of the mid. The  woven panel on the top has a slight resemblance of Bottega Veneta’s well-known pattern, which you may remember was implemented on the Footpatrol Clarks Sportswear Tawyer on the lateral and medial panels. Overall it has an understated elegance. As always, wear yours with trackies or tapered jeans cuffed just above the top of the shoe. Grandpa steeeeez.

Enough about Clark’s! This was also the drop of the hard-core camper (whether it be for this season’s coming bogos *hint*, or to flex on everyone for this summer’s festivals), check-patterned camp chairs and tables dropped. Finally you can flip your Supreme table in disappointment after getting cart-jacked 11:00:05 – Amazing!
