Drinks, music and trainer talk.
Last night the Crepe City team hosted an event to celebrate the launch of their second magazine. We took a trip to the flagship Adidas store on Foubert’s Place to have a look at their work, talk to some like minded people and take advantage of the free drinks (in a responsible way).
Issue 2 of the crepe city magazine is a serious read. Calling it a magazine really doesn’t do it justice; it’s really a small book. It features two covers, one with the Adidas NMD City Sock and another with the classic Air Max BW. There truly is no brand bias in the mag as it features a wide range of content; from editorials on Basement mainstay’s converse, to articles on air max, it covers the whole spectrum.
Catching up with Morgan (one of the CC team) at the event, he made it clear that the magazine is meant to be informative and more about history than hype. The magazine does include both current trends such as the NMD and classics such as the Larry Bird and Magic ‘choose your weapon’ campaign.
The content includes more than just nice pictures. Including insights into the all-important details from the likes of Gary Warnett and Steve Van Doren, this issue is deeply informative.
Coming in at £10 the magazine is slightly more expensive than the first magazine but it’s also a lot larger, definitely something worth picking up if you can get hold of one.
If you missed out on the event you can still get hold of a copy, its releasing in stores like SNS and Kith and also available at Crepe City on the 30th of April.
