Ahead of the brand's UK/EU opening, The Basement teams up with Avirex for a night of live music and drinks to celebrate their UK Launch.
The Basement hosted Avirex’s UK launch party last night, as fans of the iconic US brand headed down to east London’s Kachette for an energy-filled night of live music and drinks. London’s creative scene was out in full force, with guests spoiled for choice between rum-based cocktails from Wray & Nephew, and whisky from Ballantines.
On the music side, a host of DJs warmed up the night, before the decks were taken over by “voice of the streets” Kenny Allstar, who treated guests to a selection of drill, grime and hip-hop tunes. Towards the end of his set, a special moment occurred when one of London’s hottest rappers, Potter Payper, rolled through, blessing the mic with his UK Trending Number 1 single ‘Gangsteritus’ as well as 2020 tune ‘Frank White’. The latter, which opens with the bar “put the block under pressure, since I had the Avirex with the leather,” was the perfect way to celebrate the heritage brand’s re-introduction to London.
