AJ Tracey is shutting down functions, and you’re struggling to shut down your nan’s PC
Last night, AJ Tracey hit XOYO for the final night in London of his first headline tour, ‘Lil Tracey’. Opening for AJ were the London based You Get Grime collective, YGG for short; a soild choice to get the crowd amped before AJ blessed the stage.
After YGG’s set finshed, Tracey came through with his boys Big Zuu and Ets. Draped in Ed Hardy, AJ opened with ‘Luke Cage’, one of the tracks of his EP ‘Lil Tracey’. He then continued to play banger after banger, drawing for some of his older tunes like ‘Naila’ and ‘Spirit Bomb’, whilst engaging his newer fan’s with more recent tracks like ‘Buster Cannon’ and ‘Pasta’.
AJ then decided to bring through some ‘special guests’. Too many times have people brought through ‘special guests’ for them to be underwhelming. However, the west London raised emcee didn’t fall into this category; Elf Kid, 67, Chip and Stormzy all came through to show love for AJ on his first tour. The atmosphere when all of them were on stage was electric, only rivalled by the atmosphered generated in the crowd. Stormzy signed off the show with the tune ‘Big for your boots’ off his new album, ‘Gang Signs and Prayers’.
A big thanks to XOYO for having us down. Check out the the images from the night below.
