A beautiful photographic project based on one of the few industry towns still left in Britain..
‘Steel roots of the tree of machinery’ is a project that focusses on the industrialisation of the city of Southampton, Using the docks and industrial areas as a backdrop, showing how they overshadow the natural landscape. Using this as a way to subtly suggest larger idea’s of consumerism and how we are impacting the environment, making the viewer question their own mass consumption and how this controls our lives.
