I inappropriately wore a pair of Nike SB skate shoes on the walk
“Hey Tayler,
A collection of photos shot in the Scottish highlands outside of Edinburgh. I only ever live in cities, so going to a completely rural area was an odd place to shoot. There weren’t any tall buildings, skaters or cafes about. I shot a couple of ilford 400 on my Leica M6 and it was a lot of fun. I had seen hares and pheasants for the first time. I always thought hares were small but the one I saw was like a horse galloping through the grass. One of the dogs was trying to catch it. I inappropriately wore a pair of Nike SB skate shoes on the walk, which ended up being drench in cold Scottish mud. I didn’t think much about the photos, however when Barbara down at Moorfields in Liverpool developed them and gave them to me, I was amazed. I never used to like shooting black and white however the past 6 rolls have convinced me to stick to it. I hope everyone enjoys the photos as much as I did shooting them.
Thanks,
Louis”
