Disney Create 100 Featuring Virgil Abloh Securities, NIGO, Ahluwalia & More

Marking 100 years of animated excellence, Disney links with some of the world's best creators for an exclusive auction in partnership with Make-A-Wish.

Childhood defining visual pioneers Disney celebrate 100 years this year and are marking the occasion with a once in a century auction (literally) of pieces from the biggest names in culture to raise funds for Make-A-Wish.

Now the proud owners of the Star Wars franchise and the genius behind the Marvel Universe (but don’t pretend you don’t love the OG Pixar classics), the auction features lots inspired by their previous owners’ connection to characters across the Disney franchises.

Kicking off strong, Virgil Abloh Securities launched the campaign with a 6-foot chromatic sculpture of the Sorcerer’s Apprentice Mickey at RCA London. Commissioned by Disney and created by artist ALASKA ALASKA, the sculpture takes Virgil Abloh’s signature design language and applies it to a pieces of Disney iconography – a classic take of Abloh’s work to recontextualise pop culture symbols as art and vice versa.

But it doesn’t stop there – other notable donations to be bid on include a Yoda statue from streetwear deity NIGO; a one-of-a-kind deconstructed Mickey Mouse t-shirt from Maison Margiela; a jacket from rising London star, Ahluwalia; and sculptures from directional Korean label ADER ERROR and Nike collaborators Cactus Plant Flea Market to name just a few.

The Disney Create 100 auction is available for bids until 30th October.
