A sign of the times
Young people are growing up in a world as torn and conflicted as that typified by the ‘regeneration’ of the East End – nostalgic nods to the past heritage and industrial history of the area mixing unforgivingly with the structures that are constantly springing up. It is the way that they are interacting with this new world, mixing old with new and taking cues from both the past and the future, that we wanted to explore.
